Healthy food is a must for the human body. For some people however, food is a necessity to satisfy basic needs. There are a variety of different cuisines and food preferences formed by ethnical and cultural backgrounds, social classes and geographical locations. Food can uncover a lot about the history and tradition of different nations and regions. Our eating habits, herbs and crops, and meat, everything has a contribution to the traditional culture and cuisine. For example, India is a land of spices, Africa is a continent of sauces, and Europe reveals some very creative beauty of food and opens up many different opportunities and inventions for those who value and enjoy eating. Overtime, our eating habits change and follow cultural, climate, and other transformations. The different changes in the way people serve the table, the development of Asian and European business etiquette, and even the food preferences. Centuries ago people ate foods that were very good for their health. People ate foods which didn't contain chemicals, artificial colours, artificial flavours or any preservatives, and because of that, they didn't have any health problems and they lived a longer life span than the generation today does. Today, many people eat foods that can be cooked easily or even take out, they don’t think about the things that they are eating and what kind of ingredients are put in it. Overall, healthy food is a basic necessity in our lives and many foods in the world have a meaning behind it, whether it’s traditional cultural, or even regional.
